Books that Came to Me this Week!

So I became a book magnet this week. I picked up 19 books at out local used bookstore that was having a $1 a book sale. Not that I needed 19 more books, but I was lucky to only walk out with 19! Here they are in no particular order:

1. Sword of the Highlands by Veronica Wolff
2. Huntress by Christine Warren et all
3. Damien by Jacquelyn Frank
4. Master of the Highland by Veronica Wolff
5. Highland Guardian by Melissa Mayhue
6. Fairies Gone Wild by MaryJanice Davidson et all
7. Dead until Dark by Charlaine Harris
8. Curse the Dawn by Karen Chance
9. High Stakes by Erin McCarthy
10 Darkness Calls by Marjorie M. Liu
11. Atlantis Awakening by Alyssa Day
12. Dark Victory by Brenda Joyce
13. Dark Lover by Brenda Joyce
14. These Boots Were Made for Stomping by Julie Kenner
15. Hunting Ground by Patricia Briggs
16. All I Want For Christmas is a Vampire by Kerrelyn Sparks
17. Street Magic by Caitlin Kittridge
18. Hex Appeal by Linda Wisdom,
19. Lover Unbound by J.R. Ward

Most of these I don't know anything about, I let myself pick based on whatever jumped out at me so I could branch out and give some new to me authors a chance. If you have recommendations from this list let me know!

  3. Yes, I was at the Recycle Barn. I think this is why I try to keep myself out of used book stores. Our house is going to explode soon. I need to read faster!

  4. You picked up quite a load. I love sales like those. You never NEED more books but you get sucked in anyway. Your blog is terrific. I'm now following!

  5. Nice haul! Street Magic is on my radar, I think I might get it from the library. There are no good used bookstores in my area

  6. Wow! A buck a book, I'm proud for you to stop at 19. A library I went to used to have a book sale at 10 cents a book. I would walk out of there with $30 worth. We're talking boxes...

    Cute Blog too!

  7. I've gone to sales and come home with brown grocery bags full of books. I actually have a whole rack in my basement of books I want to read. I should consider the cleaning off your shelf challenge (not sure of the exact name but I know I've seen the button for it on a few people's blogs) just to make space for new finds. One thing is for sure, I am never without a new book to start!
