Thankfully Reading Weekend
I decided to participate in this challenge since I was going to try reading as much as I could anyway. Here is the link to the info: http://www.bookblogsocialclub.com/2009/11/thankfully-reading-weekend-lets-get.html
While I love my children there are mornings, espescially on weekends or holidays whe I really miss being able to wake up and grab a book to read in bed. Not that I would trade being a mom, but it's been almost 7 years since I got the luxury of doing that. It was such a nice way to start the day!

Here's hoping you find some quality time to be both a mom and a reader this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love starting my day off reading. I usually wait until my kids leave for school to start though! Happy reading this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI remember the days of uninterrupted reading! Our roles are reversed here now. My kids are teens now so they are sleeping and I am up. I plan on getting as much reading done as I can too. I'm too stuffed to move and I don't wish to shop so what a better way to spend the weekend than sticking my nose in a book. Enjoy the kids and your reading.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't resist signing up for this weekend's event either. Any excuse to read! I hope you are able to fit in lots of reading time this weekend.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your bambinos. Time will come, and it will happen before you know it, when your bambinos will be grown and gone and you will once again have time to read.
ReplyDeleteI'm finding that this weekend is getting me motivated to finish books I've had kicking around for a really long time. I hope you enjoy the time with your family and are able to fit in lots of me time as well. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find some time to read! I understand missing some morning time for yourself to read. That's natural. I hope you enjoy the book or books you read when you have some time to do so!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture in your header, your baby is adorable! What a smile!
Happy reading! Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks for all the well wishes! We all relaxed on the couch today and I let them watch a bit more tv than usual to "celebrate" the post holiday day.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great weekend with Thankfully Reading. I thought it was fun!
ReplyDeleteI managed to read two books, not as much as I had hoped but we got a tree and went to the movies and had friends over so not too bad all in all.
ReplyDeleteOooh, that would be WONDERFUL!!!!!! I still remember before kids, sitting there in bed and reading "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown while Ed watched TV in the other room. I took a mental snapshot of that moment, captioning it "bliss". It truly was! Now I have fun reading "Goodnight Moon" and "Mr. Putter and Tabby" books with the girls, but I still would love (ADORE!) being able to wake up, grab my iced coffee and settle down to read the day away.
ReplyDeleteOne day. :o)
