Saturday Snapshot- Santa Visit, November 19, 2011

Last weekend Santa arrived at a number of local malls.  The one closest to us was offering free Reindeer Webkinz to the first 200 children to visit with him as well as three dollars off picture prices.  It seemed like a good opportunity to continue a tradition and, as my children love Webkinz, a nice chance to get another code to play for another year.

As usual, getting all four children to smile and look at the right place at the same time was a challenge, but the photos we paid for turned out pretty nice and they were nice enough to let me take a few myself as well.  I don't think they let you if you aren't already buying a package.

This is the same mall we usually go to.  I like the continuity of the Santa in the pictures from year to year.

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.  This is hosted by Alyce at At Home With Books.  You can view the list of participating blogs on her site.

  1. I don't think we ever did a photo with snapshot. I'm sure you'll be glad you have it. The kids are adorable. I kind of wish Santa would wait until Thanksgiving, but I'm a traditionalist. Here's My Saturday Snapshot

  3. I love these! That reminds me of the Santa's Sleigh that shows up in our neighborhood mall. I have one picture of grandkids taken in it from a few years ago.

    Time to dust it off!

  9. That is so early in the year for Santa, but my kids would have been begging for those webkinz!

  10. Love this! A gorgeous Christmas photo! I'm so impressed that nobody is crying or even frowning...and they're all smiling in the last photo! What great children!

(It always seems in photos with Santa kids get upset or scared?

  11. Cute photos. I remember my mom trying to get me to sit with Santa... at the bank I think... way back when. You know, when they only gave you a black and white photo!

  15. Cute Santa photo. And getting four kids to all look in the same direction at the same time is always hard :-)

  16. I wonder why the stores start doing Christmas even before Thanksgiving?

Love the photo though! Brings back lots of memories of when my kids were little.

  17. Good pictures. We did some of those when our children were small. Next, the grandchildren on Santa's lap, but not this year yet.

  19. These photos make me want to be a kid again!
Isn't there any way I can time-warp myself back to such a wondrous age? [I just had the funniest thought -- OK, so the time warp works but it keeps me at the same size I am today and I bound up onto Santa's lap and break his leg! Wait a minute.... what's so funny about that? Poor Santa.]
