Trick or Treating the Friday before Hurricane Sandy.
|
For the second year in a row bad weather essentially cancelled Halloween and trick or treating. Once again we were without power for a number of days. (Three this year versus five last year so it wasn't quite as bad.) Luckily we were invited to a party and to trick or treat with friends before the storm hit, so we had a chance to experience Halloween. I also took my children to some other local events the weekend before as well. We went to Boo at the Zoo, saw Hotel Transylvania, and went to the local amusement park for Boo Blast.

Sorry Sandy put a crimp in your Halloween. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you next year.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Saturday Snapshot. Hope you will stop by.
What are the chances that a storm would preempt halloween two years in a row? Sheeesh!
ReplyDeleteGreat costumes! Looks like you all managed to have a good time in spite of the weather.

I like all the bright colors and different costumes and descending height of the kids in the photo.
ReplyDeleteWith four trick-or-treaters in the house you must have LOADS of candy by the end of the night. I'm sure they need help *sorting* it, don't they ;) Too bad about the weather, though. That does kind of put a crimp in things.
ReplyDeleteSo nice that you were able to celebrate despite the storm!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that weather has interfered in your fun two years in a row!! That's just terrible...and sad. Halloween is so much fun for the kids. Hope things continue to get better...I'm an hour from the MS Gulf Coast so I know exactly what you're going through :(
ReplyDeleteGreat costumes! Looks like the kids loved it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're doing a great job with making sure that your kids will have Halloween memories even with two challenging years in a row.
