Saturday Snapshot- First Days of Summer

Summer vacation started at noon on Tuesday and my kids wanted to go to the pool, but it was raining.  Wednesday was too cold so we went to a matinee at the second run theater, but Thursday we went.  It was still kind of cool, but the pool was pretty empty.

We were without the car for the day so we walked over.  On our way we saw sights we would have missed had we driven, like a dead bird on the Pub porch and minnows in the creek.

I can't wait to settle into summer and our routine of regular pool visits.

This is hosted by Alyce at At Home With Books.

  5. Hope you get some great days by the pool. And that you walk over there more often, we always see more when we walk than we do when driving.

  9. Awww. Kid to the pool. What a great memory. Been a long time for me since I sat by a pool with kiddies splashing merrily. Here's hoping for some warmer days of sun( not too much) and water.

  11. Great shots of the kids--and I clicked for a close-up to see if I was right...and that is Spiderman on the swim trunks. Walking to the pool reminds me of my pool-going days when I was young. My mom didn't drive--so the only way we went anywhere in the summer was walking. Fortunately, we lived in a town small enough that we could walk just about anywhere we needed to go.

    Here's my Snapshot.
