It's Monday, What are you reading?

Well, I have run out of scheduled posts.  I still have books to review, but I was managing to get myself ahead each week so I had some wiggle room for days I got busy.  Hopefully I will get some time to catch up on some more reviews soon.

Finished this week:
Home Front by Kristin Hannah (audio)
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon (reread)

Still reading:
Inkheart by Corneila Funke
1st to Die by James Paterson
Running on Empty by Marshall Ulrich

Surprisingly, my reread of Outlander took me much longer than I thought it would.  I know it is a dense novel, with small print, but I just didn't enjoy it quite as much this time through.  I am not sure exactly how many times I've read it since discovering it ten years ago, but this was my least enjoyable time.  I still like the story, but I don't think I was in the right mood for it.

  1. Home Front was one I enjoyed...I also loved the Women's Murder Club series. Enjoy your week!

  2. I still can't believe that I haven't read the Outlander series yet! I had to opportunity to meet the author when she came to my town for a book signing years ago and at that time intended to pick up the entire series and read them all that summer... I hope you enjoy your reads this week! :)

Here is what I'm reading this week:

  3. I haven't tried the Outlander series either. It is one of those that I have seen around forever but just haven't gotten to. I did a little re-reading this week too. My Monday Report is here. Have a great week!

  4. I wish i could read more than one book. I 'm going to add audible books soon.
check out this great way to WIN books.

  5. Did you like Home Front by Kristin Hannah?? I've been meaning to pick it up, I just haven't had the chance.

    Happy reading this week!

  6. I've read Outlander a bunch of times too... It's sort of like an old friend now, I can just pick it up and open up to any part and get lost in it. Sorry you didn't enjoy this read as much.

    Happy Monday!

  8. More books to be added to my tbr pile, thanks for the ideas!

  9. I recently read one of Kristin Hannah's books and loved it so I picked up Home Front but have yet to read it lol. I read 1st to Die a few yrs back. I enjoy that series:)

  10. I bought a copy of Outlander at a used book sale earlier this summer. I think I'm one of the few on the planet that hasn't read it yet.

I listened to the audio of Home Front earlier this year. I was a little disappointed in it. I thought it was a powerful story but the children were unbearably whiny and I was having trouble liking the characters.
