Saturday Snapshot- Snowy 5K- December 3, 2011

This was taken at the end of October when my husband and I ran in our third 5K during the snowstorm that shut down our area for days.  Up until then I had never run in the snow or rain.  Even running outside when it was cold was new to me!  I dressed too warmly and got uncomfortable, but it turned out to be a fun experience.  Our next race is on New Year's Eve.  It will be a nice way to say goodbye to the old year in a healthy way.

This is hosted by Alyce at At Home With Books.  You can stop by her blog to see who else is participating and follow links to each of the posts.

  2. I am impressed! Running in the snow would be tough. Congratulations on your third 5k!

  3. That looks cold and wet! Although, the more I think about it, the more I imagine it would be better than hot sunshine. I don't function well in the heat. Glad it was fun, though. That's the main thing :)

  5. Good for you running in the snow. This week was the first week or real cold here, down in the 20s, and I did not run. I'll probably go out tomorrow morning and hope the temps stay in the high 30s. Here's My Saturday Snapshot

  6. Congratulations, you obviously have more discipline than me. During that snowstorm, I was relaxing on the sofa.

  7. That's fantastic that you are doing 5k's! I've wanted to but haven't worked up to jogging for that long yet (distance & time).

  8. Wow that's some dedication! I'm not a runner, and just can't imagine running in snow.
