Saturday Snapshot- Saturday Fun!

We spent a day at a local Renaissance Faire at the end of the summer.  We've gone a number of times in the past and each time we go we try to let the kids do something new.  This year our new things were archery and crossbow.

I think shooting the arrows was a bit harder than they were expecting, but they were excited to try it.

The younger two watched them

Then we moved down to the crossbows for them to take their turn.

They younger two then each took a turn shooting suction cup arrows at a dragon.

They  had fun aiming and trying.

While they didn't exactly hit the target marks, they did hit the dragon.

Then we went to their favorite game.  You buy something to throw and break!

They each took a turn aiming and throwing at a big target painted on the wall.

Who wouldn't have fun smashing and breaking?

I don't think they have ever gotten the same thing to throw twice.

Hitting the target!

  1. How fun for the kids to try arrows and crossbows- I'd like to do that too! I've never seen anything quite like the wrecking room- I can see why they loved that too.

  7. Oh boy! Faire games! Our kids always enjoyed them too! And the characters in costume who played the knights and ladies of the court and roamed the faire interacting with the crowd! What a fun outing for your family!
